Families for Effective Autism Treatment is celebrating April as Autism Awareness Month.
While we strive to bring awareness to autism every month, April is internationally known as a time to shine our autism awareness light even brighter!
Here are some of the fun ways FEAT is excited to celebrate with our families, our members and the greater Washington autism community….
All Month: FEAT is giving away Mariners tickets to our members every week during the month of April. For your chance to win, simply sign up for FEAT membership, where a name will randomly be selected to attend the July 13th autism day game. Watch FEAT’s Facebook group for list of weekly winners.
April 3rd: Beers for Ben’s Fund - Raise your beer glass to a great cause at Reuben’s Brews in Ballard! $1 from each beer sold will be donated directly to Ben’s Fund. Join John and Traci for a fun night out!
April 7th – 11th: Kennedy Catholic High School will be supporting Autism Month by sharing autism awareness through the sales of Easter grams to students. All money raised will be donated to FEAT of WA – Ben’s Fund. Thanks Michelle Callson, you are an inspiration!
April 19th: The Boeing Flight Museum is hosting a special autism awareness day, with vendors, discounted tickets for families with a child with autism. When purchasing tickets on the day of, mention the phrase “Ben’s Friends” to receive a discount of your ticket and 10% off at the store.
April 26th: Autism Acceptance Video Game Tournament. Hosted by Bellevue College’s Navigators program in partnership with Autism Day. FEAT is excited to once again participate and help sponsor this wonderful autism friendly event.
April 30th: Ben’s Fund will be selecting one family at random to receive an additional $500 in grant money. To be eligible you must be a previously awarded family or have submitted a new qualifying application* anytime up to April 30th 2014. Winners will be contacted via email.
*qualifying application – must meet all Ben’s Fund criteria, which will then be presented at a future committee meeting for committee approval.
